💜 I started comedy school at the Frog and Bucket Comedy Club in Manchester so I can be the best #storyteller I can be for my clients 💜 I moved house - literally in the middle of the busiest week ever I decided to MOVE. This week has been crazy EPIC and here is why. I always post and say I sometimes have to pinch myself that I created a life that works for me (and my team).from corporate to entrepreneur, master of my own destiny and founder of a business that is successful AND making a difference! Not going to lie I had an absolute ball filming this No-one should have to choose between one or the other when there is a way to balance two! PS I don’t make people come into the office they do it because they want to…….A few weeks ago we were doing some filming for our new leadership streaming channel (think Purple Story’s version of Disney Plus) and Amy brought the girls in………….Just watch below for a bit of silliness to make sure Amy’s girls feel like part of the Purple Family so when she wants to come into the office they do to So, when Purple Story started to grow I made an internal pact with myself that my team should never feel that way! The office is a haven and balance for both work and family and when holidays arise or illness or strikes kids and dogs are more than welcome in the office. When I worked in corporate life I was bringing up two children and it was tough! Really tough! When a strike was called or the kids were ill it was a constant internal and external battle to try to balance the two things I loved in my life – my work and my children! The #mumguilt was always prevalent and I worked harder and more hours than most to try to make up for what was a constant feeling of not being quite good enough on either side
SOMETHING PURPLE TO MAKE YOU SMILE….with a bit of laughter and not serious! When I set up Purple Story (The Home of Operational Excellence) I had no intention of building a company, it was simply to do what I am good at and pay my bills! Somewhere along the way the plans changed and with Lynda Merryweather we built Purple Story into a company that is 11 strong and still growing!
